Reflecting on the projects, my mentors, and being an intern at NASA, it was an experience that thousands of college students get to take part in every year, and I was fortunate enough to be one of them. At NASA they give you real projects and work that matters to them. You are valued as an intern, and they understand that they have the responsibility to prepare the next generation of workers. This was my first internship and this was the first time my mentors had had an intern, so it was a learning experience for all of us.

 For the organization as a whole, being an intern with them is a cherished experience. NASA has many opportunities and resources for interns to connect with one another, and to reach out and talk to other professionals who work at NASA. From lunch and learn talks, to networking events, everyone is very open and encouraging of what your passion in the aerospace industry is. I’m so grateful for this experience and to be welcomed into the NASA family by not only my mentors but also their colleagues who are rooting for me on the sidelines.
